As a person who recently reconnected with the Deviant Art Community, I am ever thankful for your warm welcome and support.

I'm posting this journal entry to advise everyone that, while I might not be uploading any new pictures for another month or so, it's only because I'm doing a bit of traveling and don't have my 'real' computer with me. However, I am /taking/ a lot of photographs these days, so, come January, you might expect to see a lot of new additions to my gallery.

Best wishes to all of you. May you be warm this winter and enjoy a bright holiday season! :floating:

My name is Stefanie Montenegro and I love taking photographs. I never cease to be amazed at the seemingly magical ability to capture a person, place, animal or object in a certain light and from a certain angle, in such a way as to reveal and share a secret message with those who take the time to see. There is so much astounding beauty all around us, in both the obvious locations and in the simplest of mundane details that we might otherwise overlook.

Every day and with every photo I learn something new. Sometimes the photographs I share are pure and unedited. Other times, I am inspired to manipulate the images or create poetic compositions. I consider my photography to be an evolving art, a means of conveying thoughts and feelings that are beyond words.
